1. Data we collect
- Account data: name, email, and authentication identifiers (e.g. Google ID).
- Billing data: handled by our payment processor (Paddle). We store subscription status, plan, and a customer reference — never full card details.
- Content: videos, links, brand kits, and prompts you submit for processing.
- Usage data: device, browser, IP, and interaction events used to improve the Service.
2. How we use it
- To deliver, secure, and improve the Service.
- To process payments and manage subscriptions.
- To send transactional emails (receipts, password resets, service updates).
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. AI processing
Prompts and content may be sent to our AI infrastructure providers (e.g. Google Gemini via our AI gateway) to generate captions, hooks, and edits. Providers process data under contract and do not use it to train foundation models.
4. Subprocessors
We use trusted vendors including Supabase (database/auth), Paddle (payments), and Google (AI models). Each is contractually required to protect your data.
5. Retention
Account and billing records are kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal obligations. Uploaded videos and generated clips are retained until you delete them or close your account.
6. Your rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete your personal data at any time by emailing privacy@hypecut.ai. Residents of the EEA/UK/California have additional rights under GDPR/CCPA.
7. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and optional analytics cookies. You can manage preferences via the cookie banner.
8. Security
We use encryption in transit, row-level security on our database, and least-privilege access controls. No system is perfectly secure — report vulnerabilities to security@hypecut.ai.
9. Children
HypeCut is not intended for children under 16.
10. Changes
We will notify you of material changes to this policy by email or in-app notice.
