How to generate your first clip
Paste a YouTube URL on the dashboard, pick a video type (Shorts, TikTok, Reels…), then hit Generate. Your first clip usually finishes in under 2 minutes. New accounts start with 20 free credits.

Getting started
Which video type should I use?
Shorts / TikTok / Reels all cost 2 credits and produce 9:16 vertical clips. Ads cost 4 credits and add hook-optimized pacing. Product Videos are best when you want branded overlays applied automatically.

How do credits work?
Each generation deducts credits based on the video type. Credits refill on your monthly plan renewal. Unused credits do NOT roll over. Upgrade any time in Billing to get more.

How do I cancel or change plan?
Open Dashboard → Billing → Billing portal. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. Your generated clips remain accessible after cancellation.
Branding
Creating a brand kit
In Dashboard → Brand kits, click New kit and upload your logo URL, pick primary/secondary/accent colors, and a font. Mark one as default and every future generation applies it automatically.
Developers
API quickstart
Create a key in Dashboard → API keys, then include it as `Authorization: Bearer hc_live_…` on every request. See the full reference on the API page. Rate limit is 60 requests/minute on Creator and above.
Teams
Inviting your team
In Dashboard → Teams, create a workspace, then add teammates by email. Invitees join with the role you set (member, admin, or owner). Team-shared credits are coming on the Agency plan.

Webhook events
We POST `clip.ready`, `clip.failed`, and `subscription.updated` to your configured endpoint. Payloads are HMAC-signed with your webhook secret — always verify the `X-HypeCut-Signature` header before trusting them.
Troubleshooting
My video won't process
Check that the source URL is public (unlisted works, private does not). Videos longer than 3 hours may time out on Starter — split them or upgrade to Creator. If it still fails, email support with your project ID.

Captions are missing or wrong
Auto captions default to the detected spoken language. Switch or force a language in the project settings, then hit Re-caption. Heavy background music can hurt accuracy — try the Voice Cleanup toggle.
